Tickmill Review — Is Tickmill a Scam?

Forensics Source Group is not affiliated to this broker. We do not hold this account, we cannot close a balance, and we do not phone you as this firm.

Yes and no. The real Tickmill is a regulated broker — FCA 717270 (Tickmill UK Ltd), plus CySEC coverage. But the site that took your money may not have been the real one. Fake 'Tickmill' domains are an industry by themselves, and we investigate them constantly.

The short answer

The real Tickmill is regulated — the site that took your money wasn't them

First, the good news — the real brand checks out:

  • Tickmill UK Ltd is authorised by the FCA (FRN 717270), and the group holds CySEC coverage — verifiable on both regulators' public registers.
  • The genuine broker operates only at tickmill.com and tickmill.eu, with a long operating history and a roughly 1,100-review Trustpilot footprint.

Now the bad news — the clones:

  • Fake domains cluster around the brand: tickmill-cn.com, etr-tickmill.com, tickmill-cn.net, cn-tickmill.com and tickmill.group have all been recorded attaching themselves to the Tickmill name on broker-monitoring platforms.
  • In December 2025 the US Department of Justice seized a Tickmill-spoof domain (tickmilleas.com) tied to the Tai Chang Myanmar scam compound — the brand is actively impersonated at industrial scale.
  • One WikiFX exposure describes a victim lured through a fake “Tickmill” platform who lost over $1.3 million.
  • Clone victims also review-bomb the real brand, which is why the genuine Tickmill's own Trustpilot carries withdrawal complaints that belong to the fakes.

If the site you used is not the official domain — tickmill.com or tickmill.eu — it was not Tickmill. It was someone wearing its name.

Sort your situation

Real-platform dispute or impersonation fraud?

Both feel identical from the inside. They are fixed by completely different routes — and the fastest way to tell them apart is to ask three questions.

If it is the real platform: your dispute runs through its formal complaints process, then the regulator or ombudsman. Slow, but it usually works.

If it was an impersonator: you were never a customer of Tickmill at all. A clone site, a fake “account manager”, a lookalike domain — the money went to criminals, not to the platform. That is fraud, and speed decides what can be recovered.

The three questions: did you type the official domain yourself, or follow a link, advert or message? Did anyone contact you first? Were you asked to pay a personal account or a different domain? If any answer is wrong, treat it as impersonation — and start here.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Tickmill a scam?

The real Tickmill, no — it is regulated and verifiable (FCA 717270 (Tickmill UK Ltd), plus CySEC coverage). The fake 'Tickmill' sites, yes: cloned domains impersonating it are documented, including the ones listed above, and that is where the losses happen.

How do I check the site I used was genuine?

Type the official domain yourself — tickmill.com or tickmill.eu — never follow a link from an ad, email or message. Then check the regulator's public register, which lists the firm's genuine website. If your domain differs by even one character, it was a fake.

I deposited with tickmill-cn.com (or etr-tickmill.com, tickmill-cn.net, cn-tickmill.com, tickmill.group). What is enough to send?

The domain you used, the date, and whether you paid by card, bank transfer, or crypto. Or the name of the person who told you to pay. Or one screenshot. Where the same payment shows up from other people, those files can sit together as a class action. The first look is free.

How much does it cost to talk to you?

The case assessment is free and confidential. If we take your case, we explain the costs before you commit to anything. You will never pay to hear an honest answer.
