MrBeast Scam — Impersonation Fraud Exposed

No — the real MrBeast is not a scammer, and this page says so plainly. Criminals are stealing MrBeast's name, photo and voice to run crypto giveaway and investment fraud. If you sent money to someone claiming to be MrBeast, that was an impersonator — and the trail is investigable.

The short answer

The short answer: the real MrBeast is not a scammer — scammers are stealing their identity

Non-defamation notice: MrBeast is a real, respected public figure with no connection to the schemes described on this page. Nothing here alleges any wrongdoing by MrBeast — the only criminals are the impersonators, and this page exists to protect both their victims and the person whose identity is being stolen.

What checks out about the real person:

  • MrBeast is Jimmy Donaldson, a YouTube creator known for large public giveaways and challenges. He is not a broker, he does not cold-message strangers, and a real giveaway does not require you to deposit crypto to withdraw a prize.
  • No public record makes him the operator of a trading platform. A video, comment or ad that says otherwise is the impersonation.

What the impersonation fraud looks like — every item below is documented:

  • Which? documented YouTube ads copying MrBeast's branding, promising cash such as $1,000 to everyone who visits a page, then sending people to phishing sites that collect personal data or push malware and a PayPal email.
  • Tenable documented fake MrBeast YouTube ads pointing at cashtab.info, with a cartoon likeness, a claimed $500 reserved reward, and a survey wall. The site's own fine print said it was not affiliated with MrBeast — after using his likeness to get the click.
  • Norton described TikTok deepfakes of MrBeast and others promising about $8,000 in Bitcoin that appears in a fake account, then asking for a $300 to $500 deposit before any withdrawal. The sites rotate.
  • BBB Scam Tracker 1223966 (16 March 2026, victim account): a post claiming MrBeast was launching a cryptocurrency and giving away $2,500, then a $200 deposit to “verify” and $300 more to withdraw, at Vyroso.win and Vyroso777.to. Reported loss $200.

If you were contacted by a "MrBeast" pitching crypto, you were talking to an impersonator. Preserve every message, URL, wallet address and transaction hash — then start with a free case review below.

Victim reports

If this happened to you, you were targeted by an impersonator — not by MrBeast

These are the patterns victims of the fake "MrBeast" schemes describe:

  • a YouTube, TikTok or Facebook ad of MrBeast promising cash or Bitcoin
  • a prize that appears in an account only after you deposit
  • a survey, a wallet “verification”, or a fee before the giveaway is paid
  • a site that disappears, or a second fee, once you have paid

None of this involves the real MrBeast. It involves criminals wearing their identity — and that distinction matters, because it is the impersonators' money trail that we investigate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is MrBeast a scammer?

No. MrBeast is Jimmy Donaldson, a YouTube creator known for large public giveaways and challenges. He is not a broker, he does not cold-message strangers, and a real giveaway does not require you to deposit crypto to withdraw a prize. Every giveaway, trading platform or 'investment opportunity' using MrBeast's name, photo or voice is criminal impersonation — the real MrBeast has no part in it, and their team works actively to have fakes removed.

I sent crypto to someone claiming to be MrBeast. What is enough to send?

The wallet you paid, the transaction, the date, and the message that asked for it. One of those opens the file. The first look is free.

How do I tell the real MrBeast from a fake?

The real MrBeast does not DM strangers, does not run giveaways that double your crypto, and does not ask anyone to send funds to a wallet address. Any 'send crypto, get double back' offer — on YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or anywhere else — is fraud by definition. Verify only through official channels you typed yourself.

What do you do with what I send?

We add it to the investigation of MrBeast: the payment, the person who asked for it, and the public record already on this page. Where the same payment shows up from other people, those files can sit together as a class action. The first look is free.

How much does it cost to talk to you?

The case assessment is free and confidential. If we take your case, we explain the costs before you commit to anything. You will never pay to hear an honest answer.
