What the notices say

  • FCA warning of 20 November 2024, also carried on IOSCO I-SCAN 35348: Empower Finance Limited may be providing financial services without FCA permission. The warning gives the website empowerfl.sbs, the address 12 Marlow International, Parkway, Marlow, SL7 1YL, and the telephone numbers 19165107173 and 07909729950. An FCA unauthorised-firm warning is not a criminal conviction.
  • Empower Retirement, the large US retirement recordkeeper, is a different company and is not this warning. Empower Finance, Inc. of San Francisco, which now operates the cash-advance app Tilt, is also a different company and is not the firm at empowerfl.sbs.
  • If a pitch uses the Empower name and the link is not one you typed from the real firm's own site, stop at the domain. empowerfl.sbs is the address on the FCA warning.
