The site is gone. That does not mean your money is. BCTip (bctip.org) has followed the classic pattern: take deposits, stall withdrawals, vanish. Here's what the shutdown means — and what you can still do.
Send this to Forensics Source GroupBCTip ran bitcoin paper-wallet “tip” tools from 2013 to 2024 — eleven years of service with no scam record attached. Its operators announced the wind-down rather than vanishing, and pointed users to the Parahub project as a continuation for paper tips.
This is what an honest closure looks like: a communicated shutdown, a successor pointer, and no frozen-balance complaint trail. There is nothing to investigate here — and no reason anyone should be “recovering” BCTip funds for a fee.
As of October 2026, bctip.org is shut down — the operation has ceased and its successor entity is in liquidation. There is no functioning platform, no support channel, and no one answering withdrawal requests under this name.
A legitimate operator in trouble publishes notices, appoints administrators and talks to its clients. A fraud operation simply goes dark. This is the dark pattern — and if the name comes back later as a “successor platform” contacting former users, treat it as the next phase of the same scheme, not a rescue. Put your energy into the trace instead: the money trail is the one asset that does not vanish with the website.
Recovery-scam warning: defunct brands are reused by fake “asset recovery” services hunting for victims. BCTip's closure was public and orderly — anyone contacting former users about 'reactivating' balances or 'claiming' funds is hostile.

No — on the available record BCTip was an honest operation that closed honestly. An announced wind-down after a decade of service, with a named successor project, is the opposite of the exit-scam pattern. If someone claims they can 'recover' BCTip funds for an upfront fee, that recovery offer is the scam.
Fraud platforms shut down when new deposits stop covering withdrawal demands — or when enforcement attention gets close. The domain gets parked, sold or left to rot. A vanished site is itself evidence.
The date, how you paid, the name of the person who told you to pay, or a screenshot you still have. The site going dark does not delete your payment record. The first look is free.
We add it to the investigation of BCTip: the payment, the person who asked for it, and the public record already on this page. Where the same payment shows up from other people, those files can sit together as a class action. The first look is free.
